Located in a typically arid region near Mumbai, the joint venture with Venkateshwara is the only source of the Cobb 100 line in the world. Geneticist Dr. G.L. Jain has been associated with the CVI Research and Development staff since early in the company"s history. Venkateshwara has been using Cobb grandparents since 1974 and pure lines since 1980. They have recently introduced the Cobb 400 pedigree farm houses, the next generation of Cobb breeding stock in India. Venkateshwara"s vast distribution network supplies India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Dubai, and Muscat with parent breeding stock. Table eggs and broiler meat are also distributed into the Gulf region.
