PT Bibit (PT. Leong Ayamsatu Primadona) has direct ownership interest of 99% in PT Inti Hupindo. The subsidiary is domiciled in Jakarta and started operations in June 1997. Its activity is mainly to engage as an agent of the company"s products. PT LAP is currently one of the biggest producer of day old chicks and broiler chicken in West Java and has achieved 5% market share of broiler chicken in West Java. It now has a) 5 broiler farm with capacity range between 60,000 broilers to 250,000 broilers in Jakarta and 7 broiler farms with capacity range between 50,000 broilers to 100,000 broilers located in Medan. b) 5 breeder farms which can produce 40 million day old chick per year in Jakarta and 1 breeder farm which can produce 9 million day old chick per year in Medan c) More than 100 contract farmers located in West Java, whereby the contract farming system is similar to the system adopted in Malaysia.
